CHAPTER 216: TWISTING THE TRUTH
As Victoria entered her home, she was welcomed by the sound of a vacuum cleaner whirring through the living room. Sarah, dressed in a casual top and faded jeans, was carefully cleaning the floors. When Victoria walked in, she looked up and smiled warmly. Her expression quickly changed to one of concern when she noticed Victoria's distressed appearance.
"Victoria, you look like you've seen a ghost!" Sarah exclaimed, turning off the vacuum cleaner and setting it aside.
Victoria sighed heavily, her shoulders slumping. "You wouldn't believe it, Sarah. Laura came to the lab today."
Sarah's eyes widened, and she set her hands on her hips. "Laura? That witch! What was she doing there?"
Victoria walked over to the couch and sat down, her face etched with fatigue. "She just waltzed in like she owned the place, trying to get a reaction out of me. It was infuriating."
