The crowd disbanded as soon as the speech was over and I practically pulled Serena as far away from the stage as I could. I was trying to avoid Darius and possibly Liam but Liam didn’t seem to take the hint because he followed us all the way to the snacks table. “Would you girls like anything?” Liam asked but I shook my head. He shrugged but still ordered some fries for all of us. Serena just had her arms folded over her chest and was watching me with an amused look. I did not explain why I pulled her away but she had noticed that I was staying as far away from Liam as I possibly could and I could tell that she was itching to tell me ‘I told you so’.
