He said, "I can leave the Woodwards alone for now, but Jay has to die!" A menace like him, who'd repeatedly targeted Valerie's kidney, didn't deserve to stay alive.
Valerie yawned. Her tone carried a hint of reproach as she chided, "How many times have I told you not to mess with other people's karma? Why can't you remember that?"
She knew that Lucius had the means to take Jay out without leaving a trace. The immediate problem would be solved, but he'd have to bear the consequences later.
