Edwin was incredibly efficient. As soon as Valerie spoke, four housekeepers came over carrying a long rectangular table. It was neatly wrapped in yellow paper, and on top of it sat a full set of brushes, ink, paper, and inkstones. There was also a thick stack of yellow talismans laid out across the surface. These talismans were much larger than the small ones Valerie had drawn earlier for Silas and Keane. Edwin told Valerie respectfully, "Ms. Collins, the cinnabar ink, brushes, and inkstone were all prepared exactly as you requested." Lora voiced her doubts. "You're not planning to draw talismans, are you?" Evan and Gavin also disapproved of Valerie's approach. "So, you plan to reset the geomantic layout by drawing talismans? I suppose this is a first even for us in Stormpeak Sect." Valerie couldn't be bothered to respond to their snide remarks. With less than half an hour left, she needed to finish everything before the favorable window closed. Valerie walked up to a housekee
