Two months had passed since I left the hospital, and the progress I had made exceeded even my enemies' worst expectations.
I stood atop a remote hill that I had made my operational headquarters—a neutral territory strategically located between three Pack territories, including Nightveil. From here, I can monitor movements and activities without being detected.
“Alpha,” said a voice behind me.
I turned to see Reed, the former Beta of the Silverpine Pack whom I recruited three weeks ago. He is now my deputy and one of my most important assets.
“Report,” I said briefly.
“Twelve wolves have been confirmed to join us,” he said, checking the notes in his hand. "
Three from Silverpine, four from Ironwood, two from Redmoon, and three wild wolves with the skills we need.”
Twelve. A good start, but I need more.
“Quality?” I asked.
