More silence. "Hello? You both called me may I remind you." Marley pressed. "Because I wanted to talk to YOU, Mar. Not him." Gabby lifted her chin in defiance. "Well fuck you too, Blondie," Leo scoffed. "Also, I wasn't planning on talking to YOU either."
"She's MY best friend. I have dibs," Gabby finally looked back to the screen-and only because they were glaring at each other. Again. "She's MY best friend's better half," Leo retorted. "And if you're going to call goddamn dibs go back to first grade."
"At least I'd pass the class!"
"I will end this call!" Marley threatened, switching off the flame on the carrots after tasting that the one she set aside was perfect. The herb potatoes had finished ten minutes ago, and were staying warm under a dish towel. Marley carefully set another over the carrot pan. "Because I'd much rather be cooking in silence than listen to any more arguing."
Leo took another hit of the bong, the smoke leaving
