#Chapter 88 - A Sudden Surprise

Over the next few days, Lorenzo and I were practically inseparable. Well, mainly it was Lorenzo who was refusing to leave my side. Aside from resuming our work on the case, he and I were finally sitting down and making some serious headway on the bonding ceremony. We decided to have the event take place at the house. Aside from our closest friends and acquaintances, we wanted to keep the guest list small. I truly enjoyed our time together. It was domestic, simple, and perfectly peaceful. It was as though we were making up for lost time. I was by no means complaining, if anything it was the best medicine I could possibly have taken. Of course, I also took all of the supplements the doctor had personally prescribed me, as well. But the true healing came from simply remaining close to him.
