“Let’s go in.”
Thaddeus took the lead, with Mona following behind him.
As the sun shed its brilliance on the towering figure, his massive shadow enveloped the petite woman whole.
The sudden darkness stunned her. She realized her marriage with Thaddeus was like a child trapped behind a wall or fortress. She had tried to escape the wall’s shadow, but her attempts were futile until today.
After three years of being shadowed by the wall, she finally welcomed freedom.
When they got into the spacious courthouse, they were the only ones there to file a divorce. Thaddeus had arranged for this to happen since he had to keep this marriage secret until the very end.
The process went swiftly and smoothly since they were the only ones.
Less than ten minutes later, they left the courthouse as divorcees.
Thaddeus opened the door to his car. He looked at Mona and asked, “Where are you heading? I’ll give you a ride.”
Mona glanced at her watch. She had an appointment with an e-commerce
