33. The Part With Alex
morning. Cammie left for work three hours ago.
"W-why am I stupid? I did what I thought was smart. I'm going on a date with Alex because I am sure Cammie will never do." I was pacing around the kitchen as Tiff sat.
Tiff buried her head on her hands. "She likes you, okay? I am positive she does."
"How can you be sure? You weren't there, Tiff!" My voice was rising. I just didn't want anyone telling me Cammie liked me back, it was so tiring and I wanted nothing to do with it.
"Gail, god dammit," she turns to me dead on, "no girl would hold your hand so freely, cuddle with you so normally, agree to be your date on a wedding, dance with you, tell you you're special, take care of you when you're sick, cook for you, rub your chest, and all that and still see you as a friend."
"I-it's strictly platonic for her! She's confident with expressing kinship, and openly telling your worth, and apparently holding hands and cuddling with a girl."
