Story 14 Chapter 1

  Colonel James Riverton had his hands full running his estate when his old colleague, Thomas Addle called upon him.   Both were titled and yet served in the army, specifically in the service of the Queen for the territory in India. But unlike James, Thomas had only little property and a few tenants to care for.   The Addle clan had some land which had a nice mansion and a self- sufficient farm on the it and that was all. He was one of those unfortunate chaps who had a title attached to their name but nothing of significant worth to support it.
