In the end, Nicholas chose to trust me and brought me to the fashion design studio.
The moment I stepped in, I spotted those damaged gowns. They were right there on the mannequins, placed where no one could miss them.
I gave them a quick glance, reached out to feel the fabric—turns out the damage was mainly on the hem and the back. Honestly, not beyond saving.
Without hesitation, I walked over, picked up a pair of scissors, and started cutting away the ruined parts.
The assistant and a couple of execs standing nearby all gasped in shock.
"Miss Carter, that fabric's crazy expensive, and you just—cut it?!"
"Yeah, does she even know what she's doing? The boss might believe her, but I say there’s no fixing this one."
