#Chapter 43- Confession Accepted

Fiona POV “Fiona, I didn’t think I would get a call from you so soon, and on a Friday night of all nights,” Alpha Mina says with a smile. “I figured your weekends would be busy as a young lady with no mate.” Her words unintentionally dig into my chest. She’s half right. Usually my nights are busy, but not in the way she means. The only thing I’m busy with is work. “I wanted to talk with you,” I admit, sliding a glass of some fruity alcoholic drink across the table. She accepts with a smile as I continue, “You gave me good advice and information last time we met, and I hoped I could benefit from your wisdom again.” “Honey, you don’t have to be so formal with me. I may be an Alpha, but I’m not much older than you, and besides, I like you,” she tells me, and I breathe a bit easier. I wasn’t sure whether to consider her a friend or not, but she’s the only person I can talk to about Nolan and the situation between us. I want to stay away from him, but both my body and heart wa
