CHAPTER THIRTY-NINE
“Hey!” Ruby called out when Noah sped past her street. “I thought you were taking me home.”
Noah gave her a cocky grin and continued drumming on the steering wheel. “I am."
She rolled her eyes as she masked her smile with a scoff. “Noah, we talked about this. I don’t want to give up my place yet.”
“I understand. I want to spend some time with you. See it as a tour of where you’ll be staying when you change your mind.”
Ruby hummed in response and leaned on the car window, watching the scenery rush by.
“It’s going to be a full moon today,” Noah said as he turned the curb into his mansion’s trail.
She remembered running down that same road a few hours ago and a wave of embarrassment washed over her. She couldn’t imagine how stupid she must have looked. At his words, her eyes moved to the sky.
