Christy had brought Christina to her family’s hotel, leaving Christina even more confused. The interior with its carved beams, exquisite frescoes, and expensive retro wall lamps, along with the panoramic view of the city at night through the floor-to-ceiling windows, was always a highlight for Christina.

Christina stared at her for a moment before replying, "I seriously feel like a scapegoat right now. Just because you didn’t want to endure this alone, you dragged me along to ruin my Saturday night. I could’ve been on a date with my boyfriend."
