Chapter 90 Keeping Me Alive
Seeing the gloomy look on Elijah's face, Giselle nervously stepped back. "Why… why are you standing so close to me?"
Elijah grabbed her ankle and yanked her back toward him. "Are you nervous?" he asked out of nowhere.
Giselle rolled her eyes.
He had shown up in the middle of the night, unlocked her door without warning, and glared at her with such resentment. Who wouldn't be nervous?
He pulled her onto his lap, playing with her soft fingers. "Why did you meet Evan?"
His tone sounded casual, but her body stiffened anyway.
She glanced down at his hand. If she said the wrong thing, would he crush her hand right there?
Trying to sound annoyed, she snapped, "Are you stalking me now?"
Seeing that she was angry, he grabbed her by the chin and forced her to face him. "That's right, I was following you. So tell me—what were you doing meeting Evan in the middle of the night?"
Avoiding his sharp gaze, she muttered under her breath, "That's my business. It has nothing to do with you."
