Dexter was driving an SUV. The moment he tossed Bellamy into the back seat, she sensed someone next to her. She reached out instinctively-small frame, soft and light.
It was Olivia.
She gasped and quickly patted the girl gently, trying to wake her up.
From the driver's seat, Dexter's voice came cold and indifferent. "Don't bother. I gave the kid something. She's out for at least six hours."
Bellamy's anger flared instantly. "She's just a child! How can you drug her like it's nothing?"
"Oh? So drugging Fraser, a full-grown adult, is perfectly fine then?" Dexter let out a sharp, sarcastic chuckle.
Bellamy froze, her mind spinning. She had a bad feeling about this. Instinctively, she turned her head toward the back of the car-but she couldn't see anything. She was blind.
Dexter watched her anxious, confused face through the rearview mirror, a mocking smile tugging at his lips. "Strange, huh? You've been gone a while, yet Fraser still hasn't come down looking for you."
