I was pulling on my cloak when Kathleen knocked softly on my door. Her face was pale when she entered, hands clutching a sealed envelope stamped with the Higher Council’s crest. “Your face is pale. What is it again?” I asked while leaning on the chair. “Big news. See it for yourself.” She said as she handed me the envelope. I stared at it for too long before I took it. I thought that this would be another kind of gathering between the councils, especially that I received tons of gathering before and I didn’t know how many gathering I have accepted just so Faye won’t use that advantage to create rumors about me, about not attending to any gathering.
