Chapter 384
After saying goodbye to the Carringtons, Cassandra and Tristan finally headed home.
On the way over, Cassandra asked, "Did you get your problem sorted out?"
Tristan nodded. "It's pretty much taken care of."
Cassandra said, "Alright. I hope I didn't overstep. I was just trying to help. If you didn't like it, I won't do it again next time... No, there won't be a next time."
Tristan gave her hand a gentle pat. "No, I liked it. In fact, I liked it so much that I wish you'd do it more. How could I not?"
"Really?" Cassandra looked over at him, her long lashes fluttering like butterfly wings about to take off.
Tristan reached over, cupped the back of her head, and kissed her on the forehead.
Cassandra caught a faint whiff of alcohol on him, but it wasn't strong, so she didn't mind.
Tristan accepted all the drinks earlier when the Carringtons toasted to them. He really had drunk quite a bit.
He had to be feeling it now because he leaned back in his seat and closed his eyes to rest.
