Chapter 16

After resting at home for a day, Lorraine returned to work. She ran into Liam in the elevator and smiled, saying, "Morning." Liam looked much more nervous than she did. He replied, "Morning." Noticing him holding his phone, she guessed he was probably informing Justin of something. She inquired, "Is Mr. Ford here?" Liam put his phone away. "He's upstairs." Lorraine glanced at the coffee in his hand. "Give it to me. I'll take it to him." Liam let out a breath of relief and handed it over. When the elevator doors opened, she walked out with the coffee. Lorraine knocked on Justin's office door. No one answered, so she opened the door and walked in. Lorraine had been there before. This time, she went straight to the couch and sat down to wait for him. All of a sudden, she heard movement behind her and frowned as she turned around. Their eyes met. Justin froze for a split second before hastily buttoning up his shirt. Her face flushed crimson before she tilted her head to look insi
