Megan remained calm.
Hawke Group could easily dig up such information. It didn't mean anything.
"Do you know Megan?" Logan suddenly asked.
"No," Megan answered nonchalantly.
"Then, I just don't get it." Logan scratched his head.
Megan smiled faintly and turned around. "That's not unusual. Maybe she once liked the tanzanite but later passed it on to someone else. After changing hands a few times, it ended up here at this auction."
"That's different. From what I heard, she was very fond of that stone. They say someone else wanted it at the same time, and she paid a huge price to get it. There's no way she would have just let it go," Logan said quietly.
Megan studied him, her gaze lingering so long that it made him uneasy.
Finally, she smiled and said, "And yet she still let it go, didn't she?"
The fact that the tanzanite had made it into a charity auction proved that, whether it was Megan or the later owners, all of them had chosen to sell it.
