Memories of Evelyn's painful last days battling cancer flooded Elise's mind, and her hand shot out to strike Zara again.
But before she could strike Zara, a hand caught her wrist, and a familiar voice rang out.

"You've been causing a scene because of your right hand, yet you seem perfectly fine. So why are you making a fuss like it's the end of the world? Elise, my patience has limits. Keeping this act up won't do you any good. Apologize now."
