Patrick's expression turned somber. Suzanne, however, held him steady, unapologetically standing her ground.
The same nurse from before entered, her gaze immediately landing on Suzanne supporting Patrick. Her brows furrowed as she took in the scene.
"What do you think you're doing?" she snapped. "Didn't I tell you to finish cleaning? Why is it still not done?"
Unfazed, Suzanne calmly replied, "This gentleman said his legs were troubling him and requested my assistance for a short walk."
Her expression remained steady, betraying no hint of panic or fear.
Although the nurse had been suspicious at first, Suzanne's composed demeanor made it difficult to question her.
Following her lead, Patrick rubbed his lower back and let out a sigh.
"I'm getting old," he murmured. "Whenever the weather turns cold, my old aches flare up. If I don't get up and move around a bit, I won't be able to sleep tonight. Should the pain keep me awake, my groaning will only disturb everyone else."
