Chapter 105
Meanwhile, Yale drove himself while Sara rode in Stella's car. Following the address Yale provided, the two cars arrived one after the other at the private home-cooking restaurant he mentioned, called The Cozy Fork.
As they turned into a narrow alley, Sara and Stella were still wondering where they would park. But once they made the turn, the space suddenly opened up. Right in front of the restaurant was a large parking lot.
After parking their cars, the three of them walked in, crossing a small arched bridge flanked by ponds full of goldfish. Pushing open the doors, they stepped into a space with a warm, rustic charm—cozy lighting, wooden beams, and a quiet atmosphere that felt worlds away from the city.
It was the kind of spot one had to book in advance. There was just the right number of guests, no noise or crowd, making it perfect for quietly savoring a great meal in peace.
A server led them to a four-person table and explained that they'd need to go to the front hall to order.
