After sitting there for a while, Wanda cautiously said, "Hans, are we still going?"
"I'm not in the habit of being someone's chauffeur," Hans replied coldly.
Realizing what he meant, Wanda quickly climbed into the front passenger seat. Once there, she fastened her seatbelt and sat up straight. "Let's go, Hans."
Hans turned and glanced at her, but didn't say anything. Feeling his gaze, Wanda turned and gave a sheepish smile.
"You're such a dummy," he said.
Only then did he start the car and drive off.
Wanda felt annoyed at being scolded for no reason, but she didn't dare say anything back and just sat there quietly. Now that Charlotte had gotten out of the car, it was just the two of them, and the awkwardness only grew worse.
The silence in the car was heavy. Wanda quietly reached for the radio, and a gentle piano melody began to fill the space.
Then, out of nowhere, Hans, who had been focused on driving, asked emotionlessly, "Who was that guy just now?"
