"Is a fleeting moment of glory enough to blind you?" Nancy's voice was cold. "At Duran, we aim for lasting glory."
"How laughable. If you're so capable, why not surpass us first?" Rebecca shot back, her tone dripping with disdain.
Raine tugged at her arm. "Rebecca, don't waste your breath on them."
"You're right. These losers aren't worth our time," Rebecca agreed with a nod before striding away.
Clara and the others seethed, but Nancy remained composed. "It's fine. Let them go. Come on, let's head back to our rooms and rest. We'll start the barbecue later."
"Exactly. We're here to have fun. There's no point letting people like that ruin our mood," Clara agreed.
Then, everyone returned to their rooms.
Nancy changed into casual clothes, then stepped out onto the balcony. In the distance, mountain peaks crisscrossed the horizon, while closer by, grass swayed gently beside a calm lake. The fresh air carried the quiet embrace of nature, filling her with a deep sense of peace.
