Time flew by, and not long after, Claire got home from work. She started chatting with Ethan about what went down at the office today. Truth is, James had already sent him all the updates earlier, and Ethan had read through everything. But he didn't interrupt her. He just sat there listening until she finished, then got up to eat dinner. Meanwhile, over at Grace Group— Emma had burned most of her day earlier looking for Charles Rivers. She didn't get back to the office until the afternoon, and on top of that, she was anxious about the partnership deal, so her mind was pretty much elsewhere all day. By the time she finally wrapped things up, it was already way past regular hours. Matthew and Leo weren't home tonight, so she figured getting back late wouldn't matter. She stuck around, finished what she had to do, and didn't leave until everything was sorted. It was already past eleven when she hit the road.
