KAREN'S POV I thought I was going to return home the next day, but after running some tests on me, the doctor suggested I wait for two more days. In the space of two days, I got to know Percy more. He told me about his job and family. He even introduced his mother to me. His mother was the perfect example of the mother I never had. Despite her condition, she made me smile and forget my worries. She advised me in various ways and encouraged me not to be weighed down by my present condition. I also made some friends at the hospital, while spreading cheer and love. I went to the children's kids and made them happy. Making the sick kids happy made me filled with joy. For the first time, I forgot about my problems. I even begged the doctor and Percy to allow me to go shopping. Percy offered to drive me and monitor me while I picked the things I wanted to buy.
