After that day, Leonard began using business trips as an excuse to limit his time spent at home. With him frequently being away, Samantha was more than happy to enjoy her freedom. She spent her days either at home or getting her hair and nails done. Without anyone to take them to and from school, Yannick and Yvonne started to skip classes. Before this, Samantha had tried to win them over by secretly helping them take days off to go out and play.
