By the time Miles helped Margaret over to Lester's hospital room, most of the visitors had already left. Only Leon and Stella remained. When they saw Margaret approaching, Leon quietly stepped aside and gave up the spot next to the hospital bed. "Margie, come here. Say something to Lester." Lester hadn't woken up yet. The doctor said the anesthesia might still be wearing off, but he should be conscious enough to hear them. So, if they talked to him, he would hear it all.
