The room erupted in shock.
Vivian's smile stiffened, and her voice wavered. "Wh-what do you mean 'Uncle Joe'? Den, what are you saying?"
Joe Wilder, an elderly man with silver hair, emerged with Victor's support. He leaned heavily on his cane. His eyes raked over Vivian with an approving grin. "So, this is my future bride? Lovely. Just lovely."
"This is my grandfather's cousin," Alden said flatly. "A widower for many years. He's looking to remarry."
