Anna and Julian were well and truly stuck here. The sun had dipped below the horizon, and the peaceful forest had turned eerie, filled with low animal growls that gave off a seriously creepy vibe. Luckily, things hadn't gone completely south—they managed to find a cave just in time. It wasn't huge, about enough room for five adults to squeeze in. The orange glow of the fire lit up Anna's face, revealing just how anxious she was. She'd gotten the fire from their wrecked car—what was left of it, at least.
