It was a woman.
She had a gentle appearance, standing under the night sky, nervously fidgeting with her fingers. On her shoulder hung Chanel's latest handbag.
"Eliza," Callie recognized her.
"...Sis."
It turned out that it wasn’t just a dinner between Jamir Quinn and someone else—it was a group of four.
Yusuf Peterson and Eliza sat across from them. After a moment of awkward silence, Callie called the waiter over. "Let’s order first."
The meal didn’t go smoothly. Partway through, Jamir Quinn used the excuse of smoking to take Yusuf Peterson outside, leaving only Callie and Eliza at the table.
Eliza was visibly uneasy, lowering her head. "Sis, I know you’re not happy with the choices I’ve made."
Callie, hungry, continued eating. "What choices? They’re your choices—what right do I have to be unhappy?"
Eliza’s head drooped even further. "Back then, I really had broken things off with Yusuf Peterson. But later, when my family was in trouble, no one else stepped forward to help me.
