They entered the room one after the other, ensuring no one saw them. Nelson stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, his shirt already off. A long scar snaked across his broad shoulders, bleeding and seemingly reaching the bone. A doctor soon came in and examined Nelson carefully, his expression grim. "Mr. Oconnor, have you been injured in this same spot before?" Callie gazed at him calmly and heard him respond with a simple "yes." "It might be serious. After a basic treatment, you should go to the hospital for an X-ray as soon as possible." Nelson neither agreed nor disagreed. "Just apply the medicine first." The doctor took out a bunch of medications. Callie couldn't wait any longer. "I'll do it. You can leave now." The doctor hesitated but nodded and left after seeing Nelson's expression. In the spacious hotel room, only the two of them remained. Callie moved behind him and gently applied the medicine to his wound. "Those were Owen's men. Owen has set his sights on me and migh
