Chapter 4122
In the afternoon, Duncan fetched Liberty from Fisher Enterprise for dinner.
Caroline stood at the building entrance, watching Liberty and Duncan leave. She was envious.
She missed Darren.
Although he was still following her, he could not expose himself before others. She was not used to it.
Nevertheless, she had to endure it to lure the Clark brothers into her trap.
She thought, ‘Please make your move soon, brothers. Don’t keep me waiting.’
At that moment, Adrian and his brothers exited the elevator.
They were discussing something as they walked.
When they saw Caroline standing at the entrance, they paused for a moment. However, they quickly pretended they did not see her and walked past her.
Soon, three cars left the company.
Caroline stood there for a few more minutes before heading to the parking lot. Her personal bodyguards were waiting at her car. They quickly went to her when they spotted her, while one of them opened the door for her.
After Adrian left the company, he did not have his meal at the hotel belonging to Fisher Enterprise. Instead, he returned to a villa he owned in an expensive neighborhood. His mother had bought the villa and furnished it when he married Emma. It was Belinda’s wedding gift to them, so their names were on the title deed.
When Adrian and Emma divorced, Emma had given up on fighting him for the property. Considering they had been married for decades and had three children who would be under her custody, Adrian compensated Emma with money.
Justin and Jason followed Adrian back to his house.
When they arrived at the neighborhood, they saw two men waiting at the entrance. The security glanced at them from time to time, suspecting they were thieves.
When the two men saw Adrian’s car, they immediately stood and adjusted their clothes to make themselves look presentable.
Adrian stopped his car.
The men walked over and spoke to Adrian with respect and flattery, “Mr. Fisher, we’ve been waiting here for a long time.”
“Call me Mr. Clark. I’m no longer a young master of the Fishers.”
The Fisher family was no longer the Clark brothers’ home. They could not even enter Fisher Manor.
Adrian did not want to be addressed as Mr. Fisher anymore. That was not his surname, anyway.
The Clark brothers were only young masters when their mother was the matriarch.
Now that Belinda was dead, the people who used to hover around the Clark brothers had distanced themselves. Even if they did not leave, they were no longer respectful and stopped trying to flatter the brothers.
Most people were realistic.
“Get in the car.”
Adrian unlocked the car to let the two men in.
“Okay.”
The men got into Adrian’s car and he drove into the neighborhood.
“How’s your mom doing? Is she feeling better?” Adrian asked as he drove.
The two men answered, “She’s getting better. It’s been some time since Celine left us. My mom has already overcome her grief.”
