Izaak wrapped his warm arm around Gabriella’s dispirited body and walked her to the door. However, the door unlocked, and Governor Mikael West walked in, dressed in a dust-colored suit, escorted by his secretary. He was out of town, but when he learned his daughter was in the hospital, he rushed back to the city and headed directly to the hospital. He had heard about the situation from his wife, so he looked at Gabriella, eyes clouded with bias. “Gabby, what’s going on?” His voice was rigid and demanding. “Dad…” Gabriella choked up. Her heart was scraped with pain. She wanted to curl in his arms and ask for his attention. She wanted him to listen to her and believe her. But her voice dissipated into a pitiful sob. “Dad!” Rafaella threw herself into the governor's arms as she cried miserably. “She’s jealous of Adrian and me. She ruined everything. She killed our baby to get her revenge. I can’t get pregnant anymore, dad!” Rafaella cried loudly, desperate for attention. “Dad, I can expla
