Chapter 100: Rachel's Secret
The sun was just beginning to set, casting a warm, golden glow over our cozy living room. I had invited Rachel over for tea, sensing she needed someone to talk to. As we sat on the couch, a comfortable silence settled between us. She seemed lost in thought, her usually bright eyes clouded with worry.
"Rachel," I began gently, reaching over to touch her hand. "Is everything okay? You've seemed a bit off lately."
She looked up at me, her eyes filling with tears. "Lily, I don't know what to do," she whispered, her voice trembling.
"Hey, it's okay," I said soothingly. "Whatever it is, you can tell me. We'll figure it out together."
Rachel took a deep breath, wiping her eyes. "There's this pottery artist at work, Kevin. He's been sabotaging the contract I've been trying to secure. It's a big deal for me, and if I lose it... I don't know what I'll do."
I frowned, feeling a surge of protective anger. "Sabotaging how? What has he been doing?"
She sighed, running a hand through her hair.
