"Don't," he protested weakly. "It's probably just a migraine. I've been stressed, not sleeping well. It's fine."
"Your nose is bleeding and you can barely hold your head up," I said, my voice sharper than I'd intended. "That's not fine. That's concerning as hell, and I'm calling Dr. Morrison right now."
"Celeste—"
"No," I said firmly, dialing the number. "You don't get to tell me this is fine. You had a severe traumatic brain injury two months ago. You've been having memory flashbacks. And now you're having what looks like the worst headache of your life complete with a nosebleed. We're getting you checked out."
He started to argue but another wave of pain seemed to hit him, and he just nodded miserably, lying back on the bed with the tissues still pressed to his nose.
Dr. Morrison answered on the third ring, sounding alert despite the late hour. "Mrs. Kingston? Is everything alright?"
"No," I said, trying to keep my voice steady. "Xenois is having a severe headach
