When the topic came up, Tristan frowned slightly. "She was halfway through that case when she suddenly pulled out. It was handed over to other lawyers.
"I was just the doctor on call at the time, responsible for the emergency treatment and issuing the death certificate. I had nothing more to do with the case after that. I was getting ready to return home anyway, so the verdict probably hadn't been announced yet."
Abigail couldn't help but grumble. "The efficiency overseas is as terrible as ever."
Tristan chuckled. "But I do remember that lawyer Thally quite clearly."
"Oh? Why's that?"
"That touches on her personal life. Out of respect for her privacy, I'd rather not say."
Abigail pouted. "Then, it must've been something scandalous."
Tristan simply smiled and stayed silent, which was as good as admitting it.
A moment later, a waiter hurried over. "Hello…"
Abigail spoke up quickly, "Don't tell me the pineapple chicken tacos are sold out again? I knew it! They always go so fast.
