Anita continued, "I'm just saying, compared to the Dagon family, our entire Newman family are just nobodies. There's no way we could've ever crossed paths with someone like Mr. Dagon. I just hope there hasn't been some kind of misunderstanding. It'd be awful if this affected the Dagon family's reputation. I hope you understand, Mr. Tyler." She sounded almost thoughtful, as if she were looking out for the Dagon family's interests. However, Abigail knew too well that if this contract had landed in Anita's hands, the story would've been completely different. Anita could twist anything to her advantage. She had perfected the art of sweet-talking and two-faced lies, which was clearly passed down to Gianna by blood. John silently rolled his eyes. He couldn't help but think that she was insane.
