Gianna's gaze swept toward the four men again. One of them caught her cue and subtly flashed her an OK sign.
At first, all Gianna wanted was to teach Abigail a lesson.
But now, things had changed.
She wanted Abigail gone from her sight, long enough for her to secure her spot as the Dawson family's future daughter-in-law.
Once she had the rights to the title, Abigail would no longer be a threat to her.
The group soon marched confidently into the shop and flashed their IDs. Meanwhile, two men stayed outside, acting as if they were putting up a cordon.
Abigail's brow twitched slightly. Their shop had always been legitimate with every license and inspection in order—it was a proper business.
Still, something about Gianna's hypocritical face unsettled her.
People always said that the innocent had nothing to fear, but when someone was determined to plant false evidence, the truth could easily become a trap.
"Samuel, do you think there's—"
