Matthew rested a graceful hand on the car window frame and locked his gaze firmly on Abigail.
She couldn't help but feel uneasy under his intense gaze and shifted her eyes away. "Thank you for the meal. It was wonderful. We've got things to do, so we'll be leaving now."
At this point, Jayden had already gotten into the car. "You're explaining too much. Why bother? Let's go." He scoffed.
With that, the driver stepped on the accelerator, and the car sped off.
"Samuel, Jayden, do you two dislike Matthew?" she asked.
"No," they responded in unison.
Upon hearing this, Abigail slumped back in her seat and asked curiously, "Why not?"
"Is there a reason to dislike someone?" Jayden turned around from the passenger seat to look at her. "Don't tell me that you like him!"
