Chapter 99
In the restroom of HS Bar, Abigail splashed some water on her face. She knew that her alcohol tolerance wasn't this poor. She had anticipated having to drink before coming and had even deliberately performed acupuncture on herself beforehand as a preventative measure. Thus, she shouldn't have gotten this intoxicated.
She braced herself against the sink, gazing at her increasingly blurry reflection in the mirror under the dim light. She reached up and patted her cheeks a few times in an attempt to sober up. She then reached for her pockets, only to realize that she had left her phone back in the seating booth.
"I'm sorry," Abigail said as she stumbled out of the restroom and bumped right into someone at the doorway. Although her consciousness was somewhat hazy, her manners were still firmly in place.
"Well, if it isn't Ms. Handbag," Quentin said. He arched a brow, his expression full of amusement and mischief.
Abigail furrowed her brow, her usually fair complexion burning crimson. "
