To celebrate Lily’s new life, Evan booked a luxurious hotel suite for her and Noah.
“Cheers to freedom!” Evan raised a glass of champagne, grinning ear to ear.
Lily laughed and clinked her glass with his. “I can’t believe this. I feel like I’m dreaming.”
“You deserve it,” Evan said, flopping onto the soft couch. “After all the crap you went through, it’s time the world treated you right.”
Noah tossed a pillow at him. “And by world, you mean you, huh? Stop flirting with her, Evan. She’s finally breathing again.”
“Can’t blame me. Look at her, glowing like the queen she is,” Evan winked.
Lily rolled her eyes, chuckling. “I swear, the two of you are my real therapy.”
Noah grinned and grabbed her phone. “Say cheese!”
She clicked a few selfies and posted them on Instagram with the caption: “Fresh start. No regrets.”
Meanwhile, David had just stepped into his cold, silent house. Tossing his keys on the table, he collapsed on the couch. Just then, his phone vibrated—multiple times.
