The air between them grew heavy. Marina’s nails tapped against her purse, her jaw tightening. But she stood straight, adjusting her dress and mask of arrogance.
“Fine,” she said coldly. “I’ll be waiting for the design. Don’t disappoint me, Lily. Or should I say… Aurora’s little shadow.”
Lily’s lips curved into a small, cold smile. “Don’t worry. We never disappoint our clients.”
Marina gave her one last poisonous look before turning on her heel and walking out of the office. Her heels clicked against the floor, sharp and loud, until the door closed behind her.
