Diana didn't bother with politeness. "It's not like there's anyone else in your office. Why can't I come in?"
Marcus's eyes shifted straight to Fiona, and Diana quickly jumped in, "You've met Fiona before."
"Out," Marcus said, his voice ice-cold.
Pouting, Diana ran up to him and grabbed his arm, playing coy. "Marcus, I haven't seen you in so long."
Marcus shook off her hand without hesitation. "This is the office," he warned flatly.
"So? Just because you're working, I can't drop by?" Diana really had zero fear of him, especially with the way she looked at him—like she knew he wouldn't push back too hard.
Marcus had let her act out enough because of her father, but clearly, it was time someone reminded her of some boundaries.
"Don't make me say it twice." His eyes went sharp and cold, sending a chill through the air.
Fiona felt it first. She stepped forward carefully. "Diana, maybe we should go. Let's not get in the way of Mr. Sinclair's work."
