#CHAPTER 110: The New Normal

The next few days were a rush of setting up housing and medical centers, offering proper food services, and finding personnel for everything from a decent educational system to setting up a real police force. We couldn’t undo generations of abuse and corruption in less than a week, but we were determined to establish our first steps.
Almost completely drained, I sat in the helicopter flying home with Zane asleep beside me and Travis just sitting there looking out the window. I had my phone out to look over some texts from the girls and Lainey. I was also being called in for a deposition about the Children’s Hunger Bank scandal and read over an invitation to sit on the hastily re-manned board of directors for the charity.
The first order of business, it seemed, was coming up with a new name.
The press was full of news about the mine. I was once again being hailed as a hero, and people were falling over themselves to prove there were internet geothermal experts.
