Sheldon woke up with a splitting headache.
Yeah… he'd definitely had too much to drink last night. As he aged, he just couldn't handle alcohol like he used to.
Still sprawled at the dining table, he glanced around at the others, who were knocked out in various positions. A wry smile tugged at his lips.
A waiter stepped in and said, "Mr. Hackett, we've prepared guest rooms for you and your party. Would you like to—"
"No need," Sheldon cut him off. "Let them sleep on the floor."
They'd survive. They could lie on the floor a little longer.
Just as he stood up, he felt like something was missing from his pocket. His brows drew together.
As he reached into his pocket, he confirmed his suspicion—the vial was gone.
"If there's nothing else you need, Mr. Hackett, I'll take my leave now."
Just as the waiter was about to leave, Sheldon spoke, "Wait."
"Is there anything else, Mr. Hackett?"
"Where are the two kids?"
"What? Kids?"
The waiter froze. As far as he knew, there weren't any
