Gregory couldn't stay in Minnea long due to business obligations, but he stationed people to monitor Blair's every move.
Blair was aware of the surveillance because his watchdog constantly delivered gifts—jewelry, shoes, and clothing—on Gregory's orders. Any single item was worth more than her yearly tuition.

She struggled fiercely, clawing at the hand covering her mouth and kicking wildly with both legs. The man grew impatient and slammed her against the wall, pinning her legs with his thigh.
