Chapter 73
Blair was shivering as soon as she left the hospital. The rain was gradually turning into a storm, but she didn't have an umbrella with her. When a gust of wind billowed past her, she trembled violently.
She stopped by a convenience store and bought an umbrella, using it to shelter herself from the rain as she hurried back home.
The storm intensified that night. Her heart skipped a beat when she stepped out of the bathroom after taking a shower and was immediately greeted with a blinding flash of lightning.
When she lived in Minnea for the last two years, Blair was only able to fall asleep on rainy nights if she took sleeping pills. However, she didn't have any of the pills on her at that moment. She closed the windows and the door, hoping to shut the sound of the rain outside.
She had only pulled the curtains halfway shut when a deafening clap of thunder boomed across the sky. Her fragile facade of bravery shattered instantly, reflexively covering her ears with her hands.
