When they stepped into the house, Walter had been playing chess with Levi.
A black piece suddenly slipped from Walter's hand and struck the board with a sharp clatter. His face betrayed a rare look of shock.
Puzzled, Levi followed his father's gaze and broke into a deep frown.
Louisa clutched Melanie's hand as they entered the villa. She was obedient, keeping her eyes to herself and following closely at Melanie's side.
Anna pulled Joanne aside. "Are you sure this isn't his daughter? I remember exactly what Derrick looked like as a child, and she's the spitting image."
Louisa bore an uncanny resemblance to Derrick.
